PDGA Action Heading Into Final Rounds - Jan 15th to 18th UPDATED FINAL RESULTS

The pro field is fragmented across multiple tournaments this week. The following is our mid-weekend roundup of the results going into Sunday's final rounds. FINAL RESULTS UPDATED BELOW JANUARY 19, 2015

In this the first week of 2015 featuring broad participation among top PDGA pros, JohnE McCray (9852) and Ken Climo (4297) have "thrown down the mountain" to a fountain of youth. Starting the day in Brooksville, FL -14 and -11 respectively. Both seasoned gents top a final card including Charlie Goodpasture (26455) and Calvin Heimburg (45971). McCray's 1058 rated 51 second round moved him into first place. Climo also impressed the field with a 1050 rated 52 in the second round. Although Jeremy Koling (33705) was registered for the weekend, results indicate he did not play. Page Pierce (29190) leads Hannah Leatherman (45396) in the Women's Open division going into the finals of the Sun King Disc Sports sponsored event.

At the Savannah Open 2015 in Pooler, GA, Matt Dollar (26045) and Brian Schweberger (12989) share the lead at -18. Eight shots back lies Max Thizzle Johnson (48012). Four others including Dustin Perry (36224) round out the top 4 places at -8.

Hyzerbomb Discs and Matt Siri, hosted J.D. Ramirez (19857) and Jay "Yeti" Reading (15864) at their Hunstville, TX tournament. Both players shot above 1025 golf to lead after the first round. But three others are within four throws of the lead.

In action out west, Dave Feldberg (12626) and Paul Ulibarri (27171) were set to battle at the Maricopa Meadows Open in Maricopa, AZ. As of now, no unofficial results have been made available.

Eight players share the top four spots at Throw Down The Mountain III, led by second round card leader JohnE McCray. He shot a 1036 rated final round 31 to take the win.

Matt Dollar shot a second best 1009 rated 25 in the fourth round of the Savannah Open 2015 to win the $800 award for the top spot.

Finally, Tim Mirabel's 1032 and 1024 rated 103 shot rounds were enough to best Devan Owens and company in the Dynamic Discs presents Straddle the Brazos in Waco, TX.
